Christian Eriksen has credited Tottenham Hotspur's defensive solidity for their wonderful 4-1 victory over Manchester City.
Spurs put in a fine display of attacking football to claim a stunning City at White Hart Lane on Saturday with Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld, Harry Kane and Erik Lamela all on the scoresheet.
Despite scoring four goals though, midfielder Eriksen believes that it was Spurs' defensive solidity rather than attacking flair which helped his side claim the famous victory over the Premier League giants.
Eriksen told the club's official website: "The defenders showed who they are and what they're capable of, but it was the whole team defending, not only the four at the back.
"We showed that we're ready to work for each other and overall I think we demonstrated what we're capable of, so hopefully we can continue this now."
