Steven Taylor admits their French signings have transformed Newcastle United's season.

Newcastle brought in five Frenchmen in January and Taylor believes the impact of the new signings has been massive.

He said: "All the lads have done well but they had to. With the position we were in a few weeks ago, we couldn't afford those lads to take their time settling in."
