Taylor to quit Birmingham for Premiership return

Maik Taylor is set to leave Birmingham City.

The Mirror says Stoke and Coventry have joined the stampede to sign goalkeeper Taylor.

Out of contract Taylor, 36, is unhappy with a two-year deal tabled last week.

Everton and Liverpool are also in the hunt - but the keeper does not want to quit the Midlands just to provide cover.

And free agent Taylor is now considering switches nearer to home with Blues managing director Karren Brady insisting the club will not budge.
