Andrew Taylor has signed a new contract with Middlesbrough.

The left back, who is currently out with a foot injury, has become a regular at the Riverside Stadium under Gareth Southgate, keeping Julio Arca and Emmanuel Pogatetz out of the Boro side.

Taylor, 21, has signed a one-year extension that ties him to the Riverside until June 2011.
