Newcastle defender Ryan Taylor has refused to rule out returning from cruciate ligament damage suffered in August before the end of the season. The 28 year old is pleased with the progress he has made in his rehabilitation and admits there is a chance he could be back before the end of the 2012/13 campaign.
"Everything's strong, everything's going well," Taylor told Sky Sports News HD.
"I saw the surgeon that did it two weeks ago and he was absolutely made up with it. Hopefully there are good times ahead.
"I would love to be back before the end of the season. But it's one of those things and I can't put my finger on a game, on a date, or anything like that.
"If I do get back, it will be such a bonus to me and such a big relief that I know I can then kick on in pre-season."
