Bruno Ribeiro's appointment at Port Vale is being celebrated thanks to his Manchester United connection.

Former Vale midfielder Ian Taylor claims Ribeiro's links with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho can be a game changer for the club.

"I think it's a good appointment as far as getting links and getting some players in," he told the Daily Star.

"They might be able to help each other out in that way. Well, Mourinho help him out!

"But you never know, connections with players and what not - it could be good."
