Aston Villa hero Ian Taylor says supporters will be disappointed by Roy Keane's resignation.
Keane quit as assistant manager last week.
Villa ambassador Ian Taylor, who played for the club for nine years between 1994 and 2003, said: "The fans had taken to him, probably a little bit more than the manager.
"They were always chanting his name, they loved his attitude, he was always up in the fourth official's face.
"The fourth officials must have been fearing taking Villa games because he was always combative. It's really strange, especially with the massive games we have coming up.
"The fans liked his up and at 'em attitude. He was up there kicking and heading every ball and the fans love that - almost to the point where they were chanting Roy Keane's name instead of the manager's."
