Maik Taylor has admitted Birmingham City cannot afford to be beaten by Reading.

"Saturday's another huge game," the goalkeeper told the Birmingham Mail. "They've had a couple of decent results: a 90th-minute win at Middlesbrough, then they beat Manchester City at home.

"So it's not going to be easy. But we are in there fighting and confident of getting a result.

"The Newcastle United game, we could have had more than the draw but we took what we got and move on.

"It was another point, we went up a place. It was another point to what we are trying to achieve. But it's important we don't get beaten at the weekend now."
