Taye Taiwo facing short-lived stay at AC Milan
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Mon, 11/14/2011 - 00:33
Taye Taiwo's stay with AC Milan could be short-lived.
The Nigeria left-back arrived in the summer from Olympique Marseille, but has struggled to overcome Gianluca Zambrotta and Luca Antonini in the battle for a left-back spot.
Benfica have already approached Milan about Taiwo's situation, while Olympique Lyon were in contact over the weekend about bringing him back to France.
Milan hope to do business for around €6 million for the Bosman signing.

I'm surprised. He seemed like a good, young, talented player - but he just hasn't been able to fit in with the skill level in Italian football. I think he might do better in England or go back to France. He wouldn't fit in Spanish football either. Too slow and not skilled enough. Too bad. Milan still needs a replacement for Zambrotta and Antonini is not good enough to be a starter.
