The Italian taxman is still after money owed by Diego Maradona.

Maradona wants to celebrate his 50th birthday in Naples with a Napoli celebration match.

The Argentine legend never paid any tax in his seven years at Napoli and owes the state around €30m.

Whenever Maradona returns to Italy, the state usually confiscates something like his Rolex or his diamond earrings, which they then auction off.

"The fact that Diego Maradona was a great footballer and is still loved by fans does not put him in a different position from anyone else with respect to the payments," a statement read.
