Former AC Milan coach Mauro Tassotti believes the club is back on track.
Tassotti feels the key has been bringing back former players to the club.
"Milan is back to being a normal club," Tassotti told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Recognisable faces have returned, the club has returned to having big financial possibilities which rely on important figures.
“That's why I say I like this kind of Rossoneri reunion. I'll be honest: now I follow Milan with more affection than before.
“Leonardo and Paolo [Maldini] have the intelligence to be a successful pair and they have the aura of champions, I'm very happy for them.
“We're talking about people who are respected everywhere, not just in the Milan world. As for [Coach Gennaro] Gattuso, we can't forget what he did last season.
“It was right to give him the opportunity to start this season, he managed to give the squad a precise identity. Milan were always a team, even on difficult days."
