Lazio sporting director Igli Tare admits defensive pair Modibo Diakite and Luis Cavanda are set to leave.

Tare insists they've done everything they can to secure both players to new deals.

"Diakite is under contract with us and we know what the situation is," he told reporters. "All the arrangements for Cavanda's renewal were in place, but they have fallen through.

"Lazio have done everything possible to get Cavanda and Diakite to sign new contracts, but everyone knows what the situation is.

"I think this whole affair has taken the wrong path."
