Guernsey-based businessman Ben Steele has confirmed he has held talks over a prospective buy-out of Cardiff City. The Bluebirds have until the end of January to settle an unpaid tax bill with HM Revenue.
Chairman Peter Ridsdale insists the club will continue to trade as normal, but Steele revealed he has held talks over a possible investment, and has not ruled out a complete takeover.
"I've been talking about making an investment or buying the whole club," he told Guernsey Press.
"Hopefully, we'll get something agreed and we're in the process of starting due diligence.
"We've got lawyers lined up ready and we've got the money ready."
