AC Milan's push for Santos star Paulo Henrique Ganso could be scuppered by their deal for Marseille fullback Taye Taiwo.
The Nigeria international is still waiting on a French passport and could join Milan as a foreign player this summer.
With non-EU slots at a premium, Milan could be forced to pass on bringing Brazil international Ganso to the San Siro for next season.
Meanwhile, Corinthians are making a play this week for Ganso - and Milan are rumoured to be involved.
Ganso's contract carries a clause allowing him to move within Brazil for a lower fee than if he was to be signed by a European club. It's suggested Milan will 'allow' Ganso to switch to another Brazilian club before signing him for a more affordable price in January.
