Manchester United signing Tahith Chong admits his first-choice was to stay with Feyenoord.

The 16-year-old forward will join up with the Red Devils this summer from the Dutch giants.

He told FR12.nl: “Unfortunately, I have not come out with Feyenoord when we were talking about a contract.

"I would have liked to stay longer at Feyenoord because its my club.

“The discussions were very vague and I had expected more of it. Only after that conversation, I went to talk to Manchester United and I chose this.

"Many people call it I do it for the money, but I'm not a money grab. I choose the sporting adventure and for me it is now time to look forward."
