Taarabt told he must wait for QPR contract talks

Adel Taarabt has been told he must wait for new contract talks with QPR.

The Daily Express says he has been told he will have to wait until the new year before there is any prospect of a new contract at QPR.

Taarabt has asked for a pay rise at Loftus Road to put him in line with QPR's top earners, despite being replaced as club captain by new signing Joey Barton.

Taarabt, who has two years left on his deal, is regarded as a key player by boss Neil Warnock. But QPR are putting all contract talks on hold while they concentrate settling in their new players.
