Adel Taarabt says he can rescue QPR from the drop.
QPR are two points adrift at the bottom of the table after drawing 0-0 at home to Tottenham on Saturday and fellow strugglers Reading came from two goals down to beat West Brom.
"I can play a big part," Taarabt told the London Evening Standard. "I know people think I have a big head, I am not like this but I think I am an important player for this team and if I have a good four months I think we can stay in the Premier League.
"I just play my natural game, the way I've done since I was young. I am the player who can score a goal and win the game for my team. Every time I'm on the pitch, I know I can make things happen.
"All the teams I play against now, know how I play so I try to mix up my game. I play simple and when they think I'm going to play simple, I surprise them and dribble and have a shot."
