Adel Taarabt has responded well to a threat from the rest of the QPR squad manager Neil Warnock has revealed.
The Moroccan playmaker looked certain to depart Loftus Road in January after being left out of Warnock's starting eleven for about two months but came on to perform well in the second half of last week's loss to Manchester United before influencing the team to a second-half comeback which ultimately ended in defeat to Sunderland last night.
Warnock said that the rest of the players wanted to 'kick him in the teeth' after showing a poor attitude and he is happy Taarabt could bounce back well from previous disappointments.
"He's trained well and the lads have got him back in the fold. They've told him why they want to kick him in the teeth and he's responded in the right way.
"I wanted to bring Taarbs on. I didn't want to put him out wide. I wanted him around the hub.
"I thought all the lads accepted what he did. We know he's going to make mistakes, but in general he played really well.""I'm really pleased for him," the QPR boss told the Ealing Gazette.
