Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has taken some positives out of the weekend's Emirates Cup failure played in front of disappointed home fans. The Gunners failed to win their annual pre-season tournament for the second time in five years by drawing 2-2 with Boca Juniors on Saturday and 1-1 with winners New York Red Bulls 1-1 yesterday but Szczesny was able to put a positive spin on the weekend's shortcomings.
"I'm confident, from what we've seen so far," said the 21-year old. "Hopefully, we can step up a level and use the experience of last season to win the Premier League."
And the promising Polish shot-stopper said that the Gunners should be aiming at the title and not just a Champions League finish.
"That's not the way I see it. I see it that we are Arsenal Football Club and we should do our best to win the Premier League, not fight for a top-four place," he added.
"I start the season thinking that we should win the Premier League. I feel we have the quality to do so."
