Szczesny happy with progress at Arsenal

Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is happy with his progress at Arsenal.

The 17 year-old told arsenal.com: "You have to understand that in Poland I was being told every day, from a very young age, that I was the best, that I have a big potential. I was made to feel like I had made it. If I had a bad game, I didn't need to worry that much.

"That changed when I came to Arsenal - straight away I felt a pressure to perform. I no longer felt like a big fish in a small pond. I was surrounded by top-class 'keepers and world-class footballers, which made me get back to reality very quickly.

"Last season I didn't play many games for the Under-18s, but I knew I had to keep training hard so that things would happen for me. Now I am a regular in the Under-18s, my target is to play as many games as I can for the Reserves this year."
