Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is excited about their new-look attack.

Szczesny insists he will not be amazed if the Gunners do go on and win silverware this season.

And he reckons it will be down to the summer arrivals of Lukas Podolski, 27, and Olivier Giroud, 25.

Szczesny told the Daily Star Sunday: "This club always has the same aims - and that's to win trophies. We haven't done that in the last few years and it's disappointing for the players and the fans - but we will be stronger than last year.

"We have two quality ­signings already - they are players who can score goals and we're confident we can fight for ­trophies.

"Podolski's goal record speaks for itself. We are strong going forward and the work being done on the defence is really good.

"It makes me believe we will be stronger."
