Wojciech Szczesny was pleased that Arsenal were able to give their fans a victory in their final home fixture of the season.
The Gunners defeated West Bromwich Albion 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, thanks to Olivier Giroud's 14th-minute header, which has the side now sitting seven pints clear in fourth.
After the match, Polish keeper Szczesny spoke of his delight at giving the supporters something to cheer about in their last outing at home.
"We know that we had nothing to play for really but we really wanted to win for our fans and sign off with a victory and get in a good mood before the FA Cup final so I thought it was a good day," he told Sky Sports.
Arsenal next take on Norwich City at Carrow Road next weekend before meeting Hull City in the FA Cup final at Wembley on May 17.
