Syracuse midfielder Mark Brode is hopeful of winning a contract with MLS club New York Red Bulls.

The freshman has already had trials with the New Jersey-based outfit and has his fingers crossed in regards to a potential professional contract one day down the track.

"I've trained in front of the actual Red Bull coaches and I've been asked to go to training sessions with the professional team," Brode said.

"One day, if I could play for the Red Bulls, that would be a dream."
