Sylvinho is delighted with his chance at Manchester City.
The free transfer signing from Barcelona stepped in for injured left-back Wayne Bridge for City's draw with Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
"I was upset when Wayne was hurt because he is part of the future at City," said Sylvinho in the Daily Express.
"But I enjoyed the game at Bolton. Matches like that usually take shape in the opening 20 minutes and it was hard for me.
"We didn't play well early on or defend as a team, but in the second half, and even with 10 men, we got the ball down and tried to play good football.
"I had a good connection with Craig Bellamy and Robinho, and I am ready to play at Tottenham if selected."
