Sylvinho backing Robinho to remain with Man City

Manchester City left-back Sylvinho has backed his Brazilian teammate Robinho to remain at Eastlands.

After scoring in the 4-2 FA Cup triumph over Scunthorpe on Sunday, the ex-Arsenal and Barcelona star said he was confident Robinho would stay in a Blues shirt as he loves the club and wants to succeed at the City of Manchester Stadium.

“It's difficult to know what's going on," Sylvinho told ITV1.

"Robinho is a good guy and it was a good contribution from him.

"I believe he wants to stay because he loves Manchester City and he enjoys playing here. He's one of the best players in the world. If he stays here it will be good for us."
