Sydney's youth too sharp for Tasmania

Sydney FCs youth squad scored a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Tasmania's state squad on Friday night. Played at the Sydney Football Stadium as a curtain raiser to the A-League clash between Sydney and the Wellington Phoenix, the club's youth squad were far too good for Tasmania thanks to two first half goals from young striker Chris Payne.

The Sky Blues youngsters, along with first team goalkeeper Clint Bolton who was on his return from injury, powered to the main break with a four goal lead before Tasmania managed to hit back five minutes from time with a goal to sub Julius Ross.

The win maintains a clean record for the Sydney youth squad who remain undefeated in all matches so far this season.
