Sydney FC midfielder Brendan Gan is keen to nail down a position with the Sky Blues after experiencing his first full debut on the weekend. It was Gan's third match in total against Central Coast but just his first full start and he performed admirably, leaving him wanting a taste for more.

"I want to be a professional footballer. My motivation has sky-rocketed now, I just want to be in the team every single week," said Gan.

"With such quality players around me it's going to be hard to get a spot so I've got to perform every training and every game, so that's what I'm going to be doing for the rest of the season and hopefully the rest of my career."
