Sydney secures Necevski for one more season

Sydney FC goalkeeper Ivan Necevski will remain at the club for at least another season after signing a one-year contract extension.

The 29-year old will saddle up for a fourth season with the Sky Blues after joining prior to the 2007/08 campaign and is delighted to remain with the club for a further year.

"I am very pleased to be staying with Sydney FC. I am a Sydney boy, I wanted to stay here and I have a young family so I am happy," Necevski said.

"The club sees me as part of its plans and future and I wanted to be where my best interests lie, where I will get the most game time and exposure.

"It is always a good feeling when the club offers you a contract. It is really positive."

Necevski did not experience much game time this season as he took a back seat whilst Clint Bolton took al before him but he was a vital member of the squad in the 2008/09 season making 11 appearances and keeping four clean sheets.
