The 19-year old, who recently signed a two-year deal with the Sky Blues, is in the Australian U20 squad that will tour Holland next month as they prepare for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt later this year.
Jurman is confident of cementing a spot in the national team and is also striving to impress new club coach Vitezslav Lavicka.
"They've signed a few defenders but there's a spot open for me and I want to take it and make it mine," Jurman said.
"I spoke to him (Lavicka) during our post-season tour of Shanghai, we met him over there but he didn't say too much.
"He should be good - he's from the Czech Republic and he's done a lot with Sparta Prague and the Czech under 21 team.
"He knows what he's talking about. All the boys will have to show what they've got."
