Sydney FC defender Simon Colosimo has been given the all clear after suffering a heavy fall in a pre-season match last night.
The Sky Blues toiled hard to defeat state league club Macarthur Rams 1-0 but it almost came at a cost as Colosimo was forced from the pitch after landing awkwardly after a aerial challenge.
The 30-year old was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for precautionary scans and x-rays after coughing up a small amount of blood following the fall but was given the all clear after four hours observation.
Colosimo is getting back to full fitness after a bout of Osteitis Pubis so news of his quick recovery from the fall is good for Sydney fans and officials.
