Sydney FC defender Simon Colosimo says he is keen to focus on playing rather than worry about contract talk. The 30-year old has been linked with a move to incoming A-League club Melbourne Heart in the past few days and has also expressed interest of one day going to play in Asia but for now he is harnessing all of his energy into producing good performances for the Sky Blues.
''To be honest, I'm letting the contract talk go for now and I'm just going to concentrate on playing,'' he said. ''We did start discussing contracts, other clubs were asking me questions, Sydney were asking me questions and, to be blatantly honest, my form dropped off.
''I've decided that I don't want it to drag on and I don't want my form to drop off, so it's something we'll worry about at the end of the season.''
Colosimo added that he was determined to taste success with Sydney and would worry about his future after the season.
''I really believe that we've got a good squad and we're building something here and I don't want to change any of that,'' he added.
''I'm just concentrating on doing my things day-to-day, week-to-week, without any distractions outside. Let those distractions come in March.''
