Sydney FC midfielder Shannon Cole is eager to make the most of his next opportunity after being selected in the Socceroos squad again. The 24-year old has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the grades this season, culminating in in selection for the Socceroos Asian Cup qualifier squad that took on Indonesia last month.

Although Cole didn't make the final 15 for that match, he regards as being a great stepping stone for the future.

"Being in camp with the Socceroos last month was a great experience for me and I'm honoured to have another opportunity to represent my country," he said.

"I'll just be giving it everything I've got at training and if I get the chance to play then I'll take it with both hands."
