Sydney's Brosque not feeling any added pressure

Sydney FC striker Alex Brosque says he is not feeling any added pressure going into tomorrow night's A-League Grand Final.

It may be safe to say that he 26-year old would be feeling the pinch after the injury to his striker partner John Aloisi but he has confidence in the rest of the squad to get the job done against the Melbourne Victory at Etihad Stadium in the season decider.

"No, I don't think so," he said of any extra pressure. "There's been times throughout the year when Johnny's been missing or Bimbi's (Steve Corica) been missing so right around the squad we have got good cover to be able to replace those guys.

"They are big losses obviously but you look at Paynie (Chris Payne) last week. It was a major semi-final, we had to win and he came on and scored a double. He didn't look fazed, he didn't look worried at all, he's a good young kid so he's ready to step up but I think there's just pressure on the whole team in general so I don't feel any added pressure at all."

And Brosque shared his thoughts on what winning the title this year would mean to both him and the Sydney football club.

"I think it would just cap off a good year for the club and personally it's been a lot of hard work, that we've all put in, and from the club's point of view, it's a long time coming," he added.

"The past couple of years haven't been great so to finally have everything in place and our season back on track is where we want to be."
