Sydney FC goalkeeper Clint Bolton is hoping he can taste success with the club before he departs the Harbour City.
The 34-year old is set to leave the Sky Blues for incoming A-League club Melbourne Heart next season but wants to finish the same way he started at Sydney - with a title.
As Sydney prepare for the major semi-final second leg against Melbourne Victory this Sunday, Bolton said it would be nice to make it through to the Grand Final and then go out on a winning note in a few weeks time, especially after some things he said in the media recently were taken the wrong way by various people.
"I have had five very good years at Sydney FC and have the utmost respect for the club," Bolton said.
"I have some very fond memories of my time here and I will be doing everything I can to help the club win the A-League title this season.
"Irrespective of what has happened around me I have always been 100% committed to the club. I wish to clarify that comments I made to the media last week were not intended to upset the club or our fans. I am very appreciative of the support they have given me since the day I joined Sydney FC."
And Bolton said it would be great to send captain Steve Corica off in a great fashion after his career ended just a week after he retired because of a hamstring injury.
"We want to win the title not just for the club and fans but to give Bimbi (Steve Corica) the perfect send off. We are all totally focused on doing that," Bolton added.
