Sydney FC recruit Juho Makela has been cleared to make his A-League debut in tonight's Week 21 clash with Newcastle Jets.

The Finnish striker, who recently joined the Sky Blues from homeland club HJK Helsinki, is eligible to play for his new club and will certainly see some action at EnergyAustralia Stadium.

Makela netted 16 goals in 18 starts in the 2010 season as HJK took out the Finland Veikkausliga title and the bottom-of-the-table Sky Blues will be hoping he has brought his prolific goalscoring form with him to Australia.
