Sydney FC have loaned star midfielder Nick Carle to UAE outfit Baniyas Sports Club on a one-year deal.
The 30-year old former Crystal Palace man will depart for Dubai later this week for 12 months in the UAE Pro-League and he has thanked the Sky Blues for allowing him to make the move.
"I'd like to thank Sydney FC for allowing me to play in the UAE for the next 12 months," he said.
"I have loved playing for Sydney FC and working with everyone at the club and I look forward to coming back next season (2013/14).
"I'd like to wish the team good luck for this season and I know they will do well under the leadership of Ian Crook, who has put together a strong squad that has been looking good in pre-season."
Since joining from Palace in 2010, Carle has played 42 times for Sydney and scored seven goals.
