Sydney FC have decided to withdraw a contract offer made to midfielder Stuart Musialik after he asked for a pay rise.
Reports suggest that the Sky Blues withdrew their offer of an extension after the player asked for more money, freeing the 25-year old to hold talks with any interested parties.
Musialik's current deal, worth $200,000 a year, expires at the end of the 2010/11 A-League season meaning he can begin speaking with other clubs now, but it is believed he would like to remain with the reigning champions.
The former Newcastle Jets man has played all but one match this season but his form in recent weeks has wavered prompting Sydney to err on the side of caution following his enquiry about a raise.
