After a poor performance this season, Sydney FC have already vowed to bounce back by taking the 2009/2010 title.
The Sky Blues missed the A-League finals for the first time since the competition's inception but chief executive Stefan Kamasz said it would be a different story next season.
"We are the biggest club in the league in Australia's biggest city and a club of our stature cannot waste a year re-building a team without having any title aspirations," Kamasz told SBS.
"The shareholders, fans and the media would not accept that.
"We have no time to experiment and I can tell you we will go for the championship next season. That's the way we are. We have to go for the title every year."
