Sydney FC coach John Kosmina has admitted the club is under a great deal of pressure heading into tonight's match with Queensland Roar. The Sky Blues have picked up just one point in their last three matches and have given up their stranglehold on the top four and with league leaders Melbourne Victory playing Wellington Phoenix tonight, Sydney would not want to drop any points and fall further behind.

"Yes, we're under pressure because we want to get a result," Kosmina conceded.

"I'm not happy because we haven't had a decent result for a while. I'm happy because we played some decent football last week. It was a big improvement on the game before against Wellington and we tossed away a couple of points the week before that against the Central Coast. Those points would have made a difference to how the picture looks at the moment. So yes, there's a little bit of pressure.

Kosmina made mention of the fact the squad had changed a great deal in recent times and was calling on the players to overcome that barrier.

"But this squad has taken a few body blows in the past few weeks. There's the whole business of four players being announced as going to other clubs, some of them having been here from day one. That's a changing of the guard and there's always a bit of emotion involved," Kosmina added.

"We had a meeting the other day and there were 11 new faces in the dressing room from last year - that's a massive change. The club has turned over a lot of players for whatever reasons and that probably won't be the last of it.

"But you have to take it all in your stride and deal with it. We've talked a lot about building resilience, as individuals and as a team. If you can get a couple of guys to show a bit, it spreads through the side."
