Sydney FC striker Aloisi explains "crazy" goal celebration

Sydney FC striker John Aloisi has explained his over the top goal celebration at Melbourne Victory on Friday night. Aloisi is on the biggest money ever seen in the A-League, but it's taken round nine - and coming off the bench - to finally break his drought in a Sky Blue shirt.

The Australia international's celebrations at his almost blundered tap-in raised eyebrows, but he explained to the Sydney Morning Herald: "I was a bit scared it wasn't going to go in and when I saw it bounce, I hoped the linesman saw that as well and then I just celebrated like crazy.

"They want to see me do well and score goals and when they don't see it happening they think something's wrong and they start to wonder, 'is he the right player for us - he's our marquee and he hasn't scored'.

"I accept the criticism from fans because that's their right, but I've had the backing of my teammates and they all were understanding and supportive of what it's been like."
