Sydney FC goalkeeper Liam Reddy has had his red card from Saturday night rescinded.
The former Brisbane Roar and Wellington Phoenix gloveman was sent off the pitch in the 71st minute of his side's 1-1 draw with Central Coast Mariners for bringing down Patricio Perez in the area.
After reviewing the incident, the independent Match Review Panel decided to expunge the red card from Reddy's record and instead hand down a two-match sanction to Perez for simulation in that he committed an act that was not detected by the referee during the match but was found to have dived to win a penalty.
Perth Glory debutant Michael Baird was given the same sanction for his involvement in his side's 92nd minute penalty against Melbourne Heart at AAMI Park yesterday.
Baird was felled by Heart first-gamer Kliment Taseski but upon review, the MRP decided that he too acted with simulation and will be forced to miss two matches.
