Sydney FC's McFlynn out for six weeks

Sydney FC midfielder Terry McFlynn will be sidelined for up to six weeks with a knee injury. The Northern Irishman has torn his posterior cruciate ligament after a collision in Saturday night's match against Adelaide United.

The injury comes at a bad time for the Sky Blues who have dropped out of the top four but McFlynn was remaining positive for both himself and the team.

"It's disappointing but my focus now is on my rehab and building up the strength in my knee so I can get back on the field as soon as possible," said the 27-year-old.

"It's been a tough few weeks for the club but we've got more than enough talent to turn things around and I'm looking forward to being back in time for the finals."
