Sydney FC remain undefeated in National Youth League

Sydney FC won their sixth game on the trot in the National Youth League on the weekend to go four points clear on top with a game in hand. In a weekend made up of both Round 7 and Round 8 matches, Adelaide United kicked off with a 6-1 thumping of the Central Coast Mariners in the rescheduled fixture as Robert Younis and Kristian Sarkies both scored doubles in the rout.

Sydney FC recorded a 3-0 victory over Perth Glory thanks to a goal either side of half-time by Sean Rooney who now heads the goal scoring table as Newcastle Jets' Marko Jesic scored the only goal in their match against Melbourne Victory in Melbourne.
