Sydney FC recruit Simon Colosimo has been ruled out for close to three months after succumbing to Osteitis Pubis. Recruited from Perth Glory, Colosimo has started all three games with his new club but will now have to sit out a large chunk of the season after he undergoes surgery early next week.

Colosimo was optimistic about the minor setback when speaking to the club.

"It's frustrating. No player wants to spend time sitting on the sidelines but it's a problem I need to have fixed.

"My focus now is on getting fit and getting back on the field as soon as possible to help Sydney win another championship."
