Sydney FC have confirmed that goalkeeper Liam Reddy has been sent home from Wellington after he admitted to drinking alcohol on the flight.
The Sky Blues were on their way to New Zealand to take on the Phoenix in the first week of A-League finals when Reddy partook in a few beverages during the flight from Sydney to Wellington .
It has been announced that Reddy has returned home and will play no part in the Elimination Final on Friday night at Westpac Stadium.
Reddy will be charged with breaching Section 6.1 of the National Code of Conduct and will be provided with an opportunity next week to explain his actions.
