Sydney FC hits 10,000 members

Sydney FC have announced record membership numbers ahead of the 2013/14 Hyundai A-League season.

The Sky Blues have reached their 'Grand Goal' of 10,000 adult members for the first time in the club's history, breaking last year's record of 8,462.

In addition, Sydney have signed up 8,200 junior members, taking their total to 18,200, as they get set to kick-off their campaign against the Newcastle Jets at Allianz Stadium tonight.

"We set ourselves a target to reach 10,000 Members for the first time in the club's history and I'm happy to say we have achieved our goal," said Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Tony Pignata.

"I'd like to thank every one of our Members for their loyalty and support. To have reached our target in time for the start of the season shows just how passionate and dedicated our Members are. They deserve a lot of credit."
