Sydney FC has Harbour City to itself

With the AFL in Sydney finished for 2008 and the NRL having two finals in other states this weekend, Sydney FC will enjoy top billing in the Harbour City. And it couldn't come at a better time with a blockbuster match against third-placed Adelaide United at the Sydney Football Stadium on Saturday evening. Coach John Kosmina is excited about the prospect of a full house but knows it won't be easy, especially after Adelaide's brilliant showing in the Asian Champions League during the week. "It should be a tough match, "Kosmina said. "We're travelling nicely in second but Adelaide aren't too far behind us so it's important that we get the win, and hopefully there'll be a big Sydney crowd at the SFS to cheer us home. "They'll come here with plenty of confidence (after the ACL match midweek). Obviously all the travelling isn't ideal but they'll have gained a lot from that result in Japan and we're going to have to be on our game." Sydney will be without midfielder Mitchell Prentice who misses a week due to suspension but welcome young defender Nikolas Tsattalios and striker Dez Giraldi into their squad whilst the Reds will be buoyed by the return of Brazilian defender Cassio, dead ball specialist Kristian Sarkies and former club champion Jason Spagnuolo.
