Sydney FC eagerly anticipating Melbourne Heart encounter

Sydney FC coach Vitezslav Lavicka is looking forward to Saturday night's meeting with Melbourne Heart at AAMI Park.

The 10th-placed Sky Blues take on a Heart outfit on the slide after three straight losses and Lavicka is paying close attention to the Melbourne team which contains three players who led Sydney to last season's championship.

"We still have the same target we set before the season. It is the first time ever we will play Melbourne Heart. They have a couple of former Sydney FC players (Clint Bolton, Simon Colosimo and John Aloisi) so it will be an exciting and interesting game," Lavicka said.

"We have clear intentions to play well and get the result we need on Saturday. We've analysed the Heart so we know they have experienced players, very fast players but most important thing is for us to focus on our play."

Sydney have slowly been returning to form after a horror start to the season and win this weekend could move them to within a point of the top six.
