Sydney FC today unveiled a new Community Strip for the remainder of the 2011/12 season that will see UNICEF, the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation and CMRI on the home and away shirts, starting with Saturday night's clash with Wellington Phoenix at the Sydney Football Stadium.
The unique Sydney FC Community Strip signifies the first time a professional sports team has worn three different Charity Partner logos on its playing strip.
The UNICEF logo will be worn with pride on the front of the shirt with the Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI) on the back of the shirt and the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation (SCHF) on the sleeve.
Sydney FC has unveiled multi-year Community Partnerships throughout the 2011/12 season with UNICEF (global), CMRI (National) and SCHF (Local) to complete Sydney FC's Children's Community Partnership portfolio.
"Sydney FC has undergone a strong Community engagement program this season and we are very proud to have partnered with such strong and respected Community Partners on an on-going basis," said Sydney FC CEO Dirk Melton. "By wearing their logos with pride on our shirt we are making a strong statement that we are serious about engaging with the Community."
