Sydney FC and Central Coast play out scoreless draw

Sydney FC and Central Coast Mariners played out a 0-0 draw at Leichhardt Oval last night.

The draw kept up the Sky Blues unbeaten run this pre-season after winning their first nine outings against New South Wales State League clubs.

Both clubs put out fairly strong teams in front of about 1,500 on a cold Monday evening.

The match was a good test for the fierce rivals, who are both stepping up their preparations for the 2009/10 A-League season which kicks off on August 6.

Sydney next meet Newcastle Jets in Port Macquarie at 2pm on Sunday afternoon, July 12 whilst the Mariners are up against Belconnen United at McKellar Sports Centre at 7pm on Thursday July 9.
